Today, I have BIG news to share......drum roll please.......and no I am not pregnant. (yes, this is directed at Briana)
Ready.......
I ran 1 mile without stopping! I know, I know that might not seem like big news to anyone else but to me it is. Usually my workout routine on the treadmill consists of running minute sprints like 2/1 or 3/1 (run 2min walk 1min).
BUT
Today I decided "lets do this" and so I kept telling myself "Gina you can do this, you have this in you" And I might have said "Just think of the blog post you can write" - who does that??? But all this talking to myself I mean pep talk paid off. Then after a short 2min walk I went onto run another 8/10 of the mile to complete......... 2 miles in 24:13!! That is my best time yet.
In the weight loss area - I lost 1.8lbs on Saturday at my weigh in. For a total of 23.2lbs in 15 weeks. I am only 1.8lbs away from 25lbs and all this since Jan 14th. I am hoping/praying/trying to make that 25lb mark this week but also don't want to stress myself out because that hasn't worked for me either on this weight loss journey.
And in other news my sweet friend suggested I could make the title of this blog "The Fit Lady Chronicles" hmmm, do you like that?
WooooHoooo!!!! Way to go!! That's awesome, and it IS big news! I don't think I could run a full mile without stopping, that is impressive!

ReplyDeletegina, seriously so awesome!!! That one mile running mark is huge!!! It is so hard when you are climbing the ladder. You are amazing and I"m so proud of you. Congrats on your weight loss. An amazing accomplishment.
