Resurrected from the dead - that's this blog.
The last post on this blog was in Sept 2009. It's been a long time!! Since then I have had a baby who turned 2 years old yesterday. Crazy!! This blog was created before Mr.Man was even a thought in our minds and it was to help me stay focused on loosing weight. Well, it's time to resurrect the blog so I can keep accountable & focused on my goals.
In January I decided it was time for me to get healthy. So I joined Weight Watchers and am attending weekly meetings. (well most Sat's I am, some weeks it just doesn't fit into the plan) I really like the flexibility of Weight Watchers (WW) and how I can enjoy my lattes or Red Robin burger & fries like last night. (although I wont even mention the point values of that meal!!) And in an effort to help my point values for the day I try to do lower carb food. As the carb values in food tend to drive the point value higher.
I am resurrecting this blog for a few reasons:
1. Accountability - even if no one reads it, at least I have it down for somewhere
2. To stay focused on my goals
3. Because I like to blog - it's my outlet
What are my goals this year? Glad you asked (even if you didn't)
1. Run two 5k races this year
2. Compete in a mini triathlon in Sept - yes you read that right. It's a mini one so it's 1/4 mile swim, 9mile bike ride & 1.6mile run.
3. Loose 50lbs by the triathlon
4. Become a healthier me - physically, emotionally & spiritually - this is something that recently has really become my focus.
5. Make this a lifestyle change - not a quick fix
So it's April and where am I with my goals?
As of last Saturday when I weighed in I was down 21.8lbs. I did gain .4 that day which sent me into a little tizzy. But my husband - who is my cheerleader on this journey and I am hoping becomes my teammate was a great encouragement. Tonight we are going to take my monthly measurements and I will post those tomorrow along with new pictures. Yikes, did I just say pictures? Well, I guess if I am going to be accountable it means some pictures.
And who knows maybe someone out there in cyber land will join me on this journey. Till then happy loosing!
G where is the tri at that your doing?
